School district sees slight rise in enrollment

West Elementary started the year with 512 registered students, which represents higher enrollment compared to previous years, said Principal Nikki Cruser.

The addition of nearly 40 new students to the Mountain Home School District provided a small boost in enrollment when the academic year began last month.

Total enrollment in the district stood at 3,832 as of Aug. 29, which district superintendent James Gilbert said is fairly "flat" compared to other years.
