Mountain Home High School's Lady Tigers soccer team extended its season record to 4-0 record after picking up three wins last week.

Mountain Home's conference opener against Caldwell on Aug. 23 saw a foul-ridden game.

Asia Jackson sent a pass in the first few minutes of the game that allowed Jacey Carr to score. Later in the second half, Violet Martinez added another goal for the Tigers.

But Caldwell wasn't ready to end it after the team picked up its own goal late in the second half. It looked like the Cougars were going to tie the game when MacKenize Sloan backed up goalie Tayde Rodriguez to stop Caldwell from scoring, giving the Tigers their first conference win.

After two games on the road, the Lady Tigers returned home for their battle against Middleton on Thursday. Knowing that Middleton was always a fight, Mountain Home stood ready.

Jordan Page put in the first goal off a pass from Jacey Carr, giving the Lady Tigers a lead they would never give up. Clarissa Lucas and Elizabeth Ryan held the defensive line, determined to keep the Tigers on top. Tayde Rodriguez had nine goal saves, showing Middleton the Tigers meant business during a narrow 1-0 win.

The Lady Tigers maintained home field advantage Saturday during a non-conference game against Jerome. Every Tiger had the opportunity to get good playing time in a game that gave some of the team's younger varsity players a chance to get some field experience during their 7-0 shutout against Jerome.

The Lady Tigers' goals came from Jordan Page, Anna Pedroza, Violet Martinez, Lexi Ogaard, Biri Martinez and Clarissa Lucas. Assists were credited to Madison Modde and Clarissa Lucas while Tayde Rodriguez had seven saves.

In related high school sports news, Mountain Home's Lady Tigers junior varsity team also came away a winner last week with wins over Caldwell and Jerome. Those scoring goals were Nina Courterier, Kaitlyn Francisco, Gloryssel Moreno, Skylar Healy and Jaden Bennett.

Francisco and Jaden Bennett and were credited with assists during both games.

The Lady Tigers traveled to Valliue on Tuesday and return home on Thursday, Sept. 1, to take on Skyview. Junior varsity action begins at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity squad taking the field at 6 p.m.
