Business scam surfaces in Mountain Home

City officials are warning local residents regarding a scam that surfaced in the Mountain Home area on Thursday.

Local businesses are being contacted by an individual claiming they are selling ads for what is being describing as the School House Folders for East Elementary School.

Officials with the Mountain Home School District confirmed that this is a scam and that no such business is authorized to conduct this type of transaction. For more information, people should call the school district at 587-2580.
