Elks Lodge presents money to community organizations

Representatives with the Mountain Home Elks Lodge presented $3,000 to the Elmore County Optimist football and cheerleading teams. The money will help purchase new concussion-resistant helmets for the boys football team to bring them into compliance with current player safety standards.

During a presentation June 28, representatives with the Mountain Home Elks Lodge presented $10,000 to a pair of local sports organizations and an official from the Mountain View Cemetery to fund several efforts in the local community.

The High Hopes Special Olympics team in Mountain Home was presented with $3,000 with the Elmore County Optimist football and cheerleading teams given another $3,000 with the lodge handing an additional $4,000 to cemetery sexton Larry Cronin.
