Fourth of July yearly car show winners named

People of all ages gathered in Carl Miller Park to check out this year's "Wash and Shine" car show.

Representatives with the El-Wyhee Business Association in Mountain Home named more than a dozen winners during this year's "Wash and Shine" car show.

Held in conjunction with the city's annual Independence Day celebration, the event in Carl Miller Park featured a number of classic automobiles as well as newer model vehicles. Tanner Wing walked away with best of show honors for his 1960 El Camino with Debbie Ibaibarriaga taking the people's choice award for her 1968 Chevy Corvair.

The following are the other award winners from this year's event:

* Mayor's Choice Award -- Rob Montgomery, 1959 Ford F-100

* Work in Progress -- Ty Ridenour 1966 Chevy K20 "Mud Mater"

* 21st Century -- Dustin Cannon, 2009 Dodge Challenger

* Import -- Don Goodwill, 1985 Jaguar XJ

* Best 4x4 -- Hansel Kroutzer, 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

* Best Motorcycle -- Reba Ashcraft, 1972 Harley

* Best Truck -- Rob Montgomery, 1978 Ford F-350

* Best custom -- Rex Caswell, 1998 Chevy S-10

* Classic -- Cliff Lewis, 1969 Roadrunner

* Best Muscle Car -- Melinda Wing, 1968 Chevy Camero

* Street Rod -- Barry Nye, 1985 Chevy El Camino

Organizers extended their thanks to master of ceremony Ty Ridenour as well as Tana Amaruso and Shawna Wallace for organizing this year's Little Miss El Wyhee Pageant. The competition included more than two dozen young girls from the local area.
