Ruth Disher

Ruth E. Disher, age 88 of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Ashley Manor Care Center, in Mountain Home. Per her request, no services will be held.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Ruth was the seventh child born of Albert and Cora Gruver. She was born May 13, 1928, in Perry County, Ind. She lived a long and adventurous life, traveling around the country as a young lady on her own, which lead her to Alaska where she met and married Paul Disher on Oct. 28, 1956. Together, they had two children.

Ruth is survived by her son, Paul Jr. and his wife, Rose; her daughter, Sandra Casey; three grandchildren, Tanna (Sam) Rohrbacher, Marlane Disher and Ian Disher; and one great-grandson, Tyson Rohrbacher. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, her parents and six sisters.

She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
