May primary deadlines approach

In-person absentee voting begins this Monday, although unregistered voters or those who changed addresses or names since the last election have until this Friday to update their records so they can cast a ballot in the May 17 primary.

Those wanting to cast ballots ahead of the primary elections next month who haven't registered to vote in Elmore County have until 5 p.m. Friday to file those requests.

Local residents, including those who have changed addresses or their name since the last election, may submit their paperwork in person at the Elmore County Courthouse by the deadline or mail it in time to ensure the letter has the required April 22 postmark.
