Donald D. Kuenzel, age 83 of Mountain Home, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Per his request, no services will be held. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Don was born Oct. 28, 1932, the son of Irwin A. and Edna M. Kuenzel. He was born and raised in Sturgis, Mich.

Donald joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the service, Don attended Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Mich., and majored in Accounting.

Don met Norma Caswell at Ferris State, and they were married Sept. 1, 1956. Together, they had three children, Diane, Sharon and David.

He worked 50 years at Union Pump Company as an Accountant and Assistant Treasurer. After retirement, Don and Norma decided to move to a warmer climate and moved to Florida.

From Florida, they lived a few years in Arizona where Don enjoyed hiking and reading along with his other favorite hobby, photography. From Arizona, they moved to Washington and then moved, with their daughter, Diane, to Mountain Home in 2016.

Don is survived by his wife, Norma; his daughter, Diane McGee of Mountain Home; his daughter, Sharon, and her husband, Christopher Juell of Florida; his son, David and his wife, Patricia Kuenzel of Michigan; five grandchildren, Shawn and Ben McGee, Joshua Juell, Danny and Beth Kuenzel; and his brother in-law, Tom, and his wife, Judy Caswell of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Patsy, and his brother, Bob.
