Linda Sharon Allen, 77, passed away at her home in Mountain Home, April 8, 2016. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Jan. 8, 1939, to Bertram George Welfare and Doris Evelyn Kennedy and spent most of her childhood in Canada.

After marrying Tillman E. Ross in 1957, she had four daughters, Barbara Halsell, Linda Nida, Terri Broome and Joanne Hughes. In 1961, she moved to the United States.

After Ross's retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Mountain Home, Idaho. Most of her 30-year working career was spent living in Boise.

She is survived by her brother, James Bertram Welfare, and sister, Patricia Carolyn Garcia; her four daughters; and five grandchildren, Amber Halsell, Brian Halsell, Amanda Nida, Jason Nida and Jolene Broome. She also had two great grandchildren, Raelynn Halsell and Jacelynn Nida.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping with her friends, good food, reading mystery novels, gardening, British television programs, travelling and walking the beaches of the Oregon Coast.

No services will be held. Sharon's ashes will be spread off the Oregon Coast.
