Robert "Bob" Lyle Vanden Bosch, CMSgt Retired, age 84 of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully in his home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenns Ferry. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Robert "Bob" was born on Nov. 23, 1931, in Muskegon, Mich., the son of Peter and Lillian Vanden Bosch.

Bob served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed being outdoors, regardless whether it was in the mountains or sitting under a shady sycamore with a least two chickens on his lap. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and so enjoyed family dinners together. Whatever the venue, someone always had a great story about him.

Bob, too, enjoyed serving the communities of Glenns Ferry, King Hill and Hammett and enjoyed his calling in the church.

Bob is survived by his wife, Karol, daughter Amy (George), daughter Valerie, son John (Kim), eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his sister Eloise and brother Stanley. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Gone from our touch, but eternally in our hearts and many memories. Your family loves you, and we miss you.
