Anne Bush

Anne Bush, 74, passed away at a Boise hospital on Feb. 25, 2016, surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with a long illness. She was born Dec. 26, 1941, in Stockport, England.

Anne grew up in Reddish Vale, England, with her parents, younger sister, Patricia, and older brothers, Peter and Kevin.

Anne was a very independent woman, leaving home at 15 to train and work as a nurse for infants and young children. She worked in children's homes, hospitals, and orphanages as a young adult.

Anne married Edward Ray Bush in 1962, and they moved to Mountain Home in 1973. She helped raise their children, grandchildren and many foster children with patience, discipline and humility.

Anne's passion was taking care of others, especially children. She was a tireless advocate for children and dedicated to taking care of those in need. She provided in-home child care for decades and became a foster parent in the late 1970's, providing short term and long term care for over 100 children.

She became a court-appointed special advocate for children and was active in ensuring that the best interests of children always came first.

Anne is survived by her sons, Kevin (Suzanne) and Paul; daughters Anne-Marie (Lyle), Mayra and Mari (Keith); grandchildren Sarah (Adam), Matthew, Adrian, Rachael, Alexa, Amaris; great grandchildren Emalyn and Jaden; her brother, Kevin Dean (Gail); and sister, Patricia Lewis (Idris).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bush, her brother, Peter Dean, and her parents, Rachel and James Dean.

On Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, a private family inurnment was held at Mountain View Cemetery, and a Memorial Service followed at 10 a.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A Rosary was held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, on Sunday evening, Feb. 28, 2016.
