Petition to dissolve rec district now planned for May

In May, 2016, residents of the WECRD will vote to dissolve the recreation district.

An effort aiming to dissolve the Western Elmore County Recreation District took a step forward after a local citizens group filed a petition with the county courthouse Jan. 5.

Headed by a local group titled "Stop the Madness," the petition seeks to gain the public support that, if successful, would disband the local taxing district.
