Michael Johnston

Michael Keith Johnston, 55, passed away Dec. 21, 2015, at a family home in Kuna, Idaho. No services will be held per Michael's request. Cremation is under the care and direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Mike was born April 18, 1960, in Toms River, N.J. He was raised in Arco, Idaho, where he grew up loving to hunt, trap and fish.

He excelled in his academics which later led him to attending Stanford University, achieving his degree in Economics. He ultimately found his calling in the banking world, which led to many great achievements, including meeting the love of his life, Linda Axtell. They wed May 1, 1983, and had two children, Blaire and Sean.

Mike's banking career led to many different locations, including Coeur d'Alene, Mountain Home, Ketchum, Twin Falls and ultimately Boise, Idaho. He fulfilled a life goal when he became CEO of Idaho Banking Company.

Mike will be greatly missed by his Wife, Linda; Daughter Blaire, Son Sean, Uncle Tom Blair, Mother-in-Law Evelyn Axtell and "adopted" Son Shannon McLimans.
