JV wrestling team excels during Gary Miles Tourney
Wrestlers from Mountain Home High School's junior varsity squad earned a number of top honors during the Gary Miles JV Wrestling Tournament on Dec. 5.
Seven of the high school's wrestlers finished first in their respective weight classes while others placed in the top five.
The tournament came just three days after the Tigers wrestling squads dominated the mats with decisive wins during their season opener against Skyview. Those finishing in the top ten are as follows:
98 to 113 pound weight class -- Gavin Hazell, second place; Brandon Wussow, third place; Gage Wilson, fourth place; and Benny Vogl, fifth place
120 to 126 pound weight class -- Troy Elliott first place; Hunter Thornburg, second place; Westley Foster, third place; and Seth West, fifth place
132 pound weight class -- David Welle, first place; Dillan Williamson, second place; and Dante Haeberle, sixth place
138 pound weight class -- Tyler Hardin, first place; Luiz Pedroza, second place; and Joey Polotto, sixth place
145 pound weight class -- Camerin Kindle, third place; and Carlos Rincon, sixth place
152 pound weight class -- Austin Tetrault, first place; and Juan Torres, second place
160 pound weight class -- Jake Pruit, first place; Johnathon Sprain, third place; and Tyler Durham, fourth place
170 to 182 pound weight class -- Michael Gayhart, fourth place
195 pound weight class -- Daniel Cruz, first place
220 pound weight class, Hayden Keierleber, third place; Juan Rangel, fourth place
285 pound weight class -- Michael Hopson, second place; Jonathon Kaiser, third place; and Brenden Rogers, fourth place
