Roof repairs continue at Hacker Middle School

Thursday, December 10, 2015
Jaime Lozano with JB's Roofing Inc. seals together two sections of roofing material on a section of roof that covers the southwest corner of Hacker Middle School. The roofing company finished the first phase of the roofing project last week and were expected to move on to replace the roof over the sixth grade wing of the school this week.

Patches of ice on the roof made the trek a bit slippery as Bill Magnusson checked on the project's progress. Earlier in the day, the construction team had to clear snow from one section of the roof so they could continue their work.

In one corner of the school building's roof, two men were busy setting down a section of plastic sheeting while another ran a machine that helped seal two sections together to block out the elements. When complete, their work will alleviate a long-standing problem at Hacker Middle School.
