Ground breaking planned for community rec center

Western Elmore County Recreation District vice president Mollie Marsh and board member Rachelle Ruffing watch as board president Jana Borgholthaus signs an agreement that paves the way for construction to begin on a community recreation center in Mountain Home.

After more than 15 years of waiting, construction is scheduled to begin next month on a community recreation center in Mountain Home.

The facility's ground breaking ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 6 on a parcel of property located on South 18th East Street across from Mountain Home Junior High School.
