State's unemployment rate holding steady

Idaho's unemployment rate held steady at 4.2 percent in September while the state's labor force reached a historic record high of 800,000 people, according to a report released by the Idaho Department of Labor on Friday.
A monthly increase of 5,000 nonfarm jobs offset general seasonal declines across Idaho's economy, the labor department reported.
