Reminder: WECRD special board meeting and upcoming political forums

The Western Elmore County Recreation District (WECRD) is holding a special board meeting tonight, Oct. 14, at 245 East 6 South Street in Mountain Home at 5:30 p.m. On the agenda is a discussion about the contract for the construction of the district's recreation center building. The chamber of commerce is hosting a political forum Monday, Oct. 19 featuring the candidates for the WECRD election. The forum starts at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Elks Lodge located at 325 South 3 West Street, Mountain Home, Idaho.

The Senior Center is hosting a Candidate Meet and Greet on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.Candidates for the city council, mayor and the WECRD election have been invited to speak at this event. The location of the center is 1000 North 3 East Street, Mountain Home, Idaho.
