Halloween Decorating Contest Entries Sought

The Mountain Home News is hosting a Spooktacular Halloween house or yard decorating contest!

The contest is open to all local residents and businesses who think they have great Halloween themed decorating abilities.

If you think you have created the best Spooktacular Halloween decorated house or yard, submit your addresses to the Mountain Home News at 208-587-3331 or email tbondy@mountainhomenews.com. The deadline for entering your house is Monday, Oct. 19, at noon.

Once we receive your entries, a photographer will take pictures of your creation. Our staff will then evaluate all photographs to narrow down the field. Photographs of the top 13 "Spooktacular Halloween" themed homes will be placed on our website, Facebook page and in the Oct. 21 edition of the Mountain Home News for open judging. Open-to-the-public judging will begin starting October 21.

The winner will be announced in the Mountain Home News and on our Facebook page October 28th. A "Trick or Treat Prize" will be awarded to the winner.
