Some teams improved on the field while others continued to struggle as Mountain Home Optimist Football's fall season finished its fifth week on Saturday.

Inventive Products of Mountain Home posted a 36-28 win over Greg Steiner as the 12 year olds competed in the senior division.

Eleven year olds in the junior division faced losses as Thrifty Auto Sales was shut out by Vallivue White, 0-26. Meanwhile, United Metals fell to TJ Construction, 6-36.

Ten year old players in the sophomore division saw mixed news as Sunview Dairies easily won over the Horse Shoe Bend Mustangs, 26-12. However, the Fighting Irish of Mountain Home faced a shutout by Dicks Sporting Goods, 0-21.

In freshman league action on Saturday, Tripl T Services of Mountain Home fell to Laminer Tech, 0-34. In Rookie league play, IWS Motor Coaches of Mountain Home picked up another win during a 18-6 victory over Golden Wheel Drive In.

Flag football action on Saturday saw Taco John's of Mountain Home go up against Drake Plumbing while Tech Assault Firearms faced Acorn Storage. Officials don't track scores from these youth games.
