Report: Local housing market rising

Although home prices fell slightly over the past two months, the demand for houses in the local area continues to show signs of recovery following the housing market collapse seven years ago.

According to information provided by the Elmore County Board of Realtors last week, the average price of a single-family home was $139,000 compared to $133,000 in 2014.
