Base supports Pope's visit

Military working dog teams from Mountain Home Air Force Base were called up to not only protect Pope Francis during his visit to the United States but remained in New York City to provide additional security for the U.S. General Assembly.

While Pope Francis made his first visit to the United States last week, a unique team from Mountain Home Air Force Base helped protect the leader of the world's Catholic community.

Three military working dog teams from the base were sent to New York City as part of the security detail to protect the pontiff
