Optimist teams compete

One team won in triple overtime while a few others saw needed wins as Mountain Home Optimist Football's fall season entered its third week on Saturday.

Inventive Products of Mountain Home fell to Mongo's, 8-38, as the 12 year olds battled it out in the senior division.

Eleven year olds in the junior division came up winners as Thrifty Auto Sales of Mountain Home edged Papa Murphy's, 14-6. Meanwhile, United Metals of Mountain Home came up short against Advance Marble, 20-12 in triple overtime.

Ten year old players in the sophomore division soared as Sunview Dairies shut out the Fighting Irish of Mountain Home, 20-0.

In freshman league action on Saturday, Tripl T Services of Mountain Home lost to Kuna Dental, 46-8. In rookie league play, IWS Motor Coaches of Mountain Home fell to The Crub Grill, 24-10.

Flag football action on Saturday saw Taco John's of Mountain Home go up against Tech Assault Firearms. Officials don't track scores from these youth games.
