High school celebrates homecoming week

A week of friendly competitions between classmates and a change in standing traditions were simply not enough to overcome Mountain Home High School's streak of bad luck on the gridiron.

A turnover in the opening kickoff seemed to be an omen of things to come prior to Chris Wright's 80-yard touchdown run on the following play. In the end, interceptions and penalties cost the Tigers critical points and yardage in a 6-36 loss to the Minico Spartans.

A homecoming tradition continued this year as the Tiger Boosters hosted a bonfire following this year's powder puff football game. Last year was the first time in nearly 20 years that the community held this type of event.
