Local Guardsmen activated to aid in range fire effort

Two airmen from Mountain Home were among approximately 60 members of the Idaho Air National Guard currently supporting firefighting efforts in Washington state.

At the direction of Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter, a group of 40 Guardsmen were placed on state active duty Aug. 26 to help combat the Tower Fire, which was burning just west of the Idaho border.
