Filing deadline approaches for November elections

Mayor Tom Rist, who took office in 2008, recently announced his intentions of stepping down from public office at the end of his term.

Other races planned during the November elections across Elmore County include two city council seats in Mountain Home currently held by Councilman Russ Anderson and Councilman Jimmy Schipani. Meanwhile, city council seats in Glenns Ferry held by Councilwoman Traci Stewart and Councilman Dewey "Alan" Crane are also up for election.

    Taking bets the date will change if those in charge of the Elections Office disagree with a candidate like they did with the petition drive to dissolve the WECRD?
