Flying ops resume at Mountain Home AFB

F-15s at Mountain Home Air Force Base took up temporary residence at other military bases, including Gowen Field in Boise, as construction continued on the base's runway. Flying operations at the local base resumed this week as another phase of the runway project was completed.

Flying operations at Mountain Home Air Force Base resumed this week as the first of more than 50 jets returned here after the base's runway temporarily closed.

In early July, three squadrons of jets from the local Air Force base temporarily moved to other locations as work continued to replace the installation's runway.
