Hearing scheduled on city's fiscal '16 budget

The city's streets department will be a priority in future budgets according to officials.

The completion of two large-scale projects in Mountain Home over the past year will cause the city's new operating budget to fall by $1.1 million, but the $20 million spending plan will cover a number of projects when it takes effect.

A public hearing on the city's fiscal 2016 budget will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the city council chambers on South 3rd East Street next to city hall.
