Some concert artists sought to attract plenty of new fans

Keifer and Shawna Thompson enjoyed the idea of visiting southern Idaho in hopes of gaining plenty of new fans during the music festival here.

The Mountain Home Country Music Festival drew thousands of fans specifically wanting to hear a specific artist or group. At the same time, there were artists that took the stage during southern Idaho's inaugural event that set their sights on welcome plenty of new fans.

Among those groups was the award-winning musical duo Thompson Square. To a point, the concert served as a kind of homecoming for Keifer and Shawna Thompson, who enjoyed the idea of visiting southern Idaho.
