Friends of NRA group schedules yearly event

Dave Tapp Sr., owner of the Mountain Sports and Pawnbrokers shop in Mountain Home, presents a Ruger SR-22 semi automatic pistol to Deborah Ichiyama after she won a drawing for the weapon hosted by the Elmore County Friends of the National Rifle Association. Joining Tapp during the July 23 presentation were local NRA representatives Mike Mixon, Michael Stoecker, Tom Drake and Hank Redford.
Elmore County Friends of the National Rifle Association will hold its fifth annual banquet and fundraiser Aug. 15.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. that evening at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, 325 South 3rd West St., in Mountain Home.
