Crompton, Castro Garcia announce engagement

Preston Brett Crompton of American Falls, Idaho, has announced his engagement to Adriana Castro Garcia from Mountain Home.

The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate from Mountain Home High School and is studying toward her bachelor's degree in social work in addition to an associate's degree in criminal justice.

Castro Garcia played soccer while attending high school and was named captain of the team during her senior year and was student body president her last two years of school.

She was also in the school's yearbook program during her four years of high school and became the co-editor her senior year.

After graduation, Castro Garcia enrolled at Idaho State University where she is involved in the Hispanic Awareness Leadership Organization, financial vice president for the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and is a senior peer advisor at Central Academic Advising.

Her parents are Sandra Castro Garcia of Mountain Home and Humberto Mancilla Garcia from Glenns Ferry.

The groom-to-be graduated from American Falls High School in 2009. He played soccer his first two years of high school and then ran cross country the last two years while playing golf and basketball all four years He received the golden A award for lettering in all three sports seasons.

After high school, Crompton attended Idaho State University, where he graduated in 2013 with an associate's degree in graphic arts from the College of Technology. He currently works at The Power County Press as a staff writer, ad compositor and photographer.

His parents are Brett Crompton of American Falls and Debbie Crompton from Firth, Idaho.

The couple plans to hold their wedding in Twin Falls on Aug. 15 at the Canyon Crest Dining and Event Center. A reception will follow the exchange of vows at the event center.
