CDH officials issue plague advisory

Nearly two weeks after ground squirrels south of Boise tested positive for plague, the Central District Health Department office issued an advisory after tests showed that a dog possibly contracted the disease.

A confirmatory test on the dog from a family in Ada County was in progress although Central District Health officials said it would take a week to receive the final results.
