People gather at local park for yearly kite day festival

Stephan Bolthouse finally got his "eagle kite" flying after changing out the worn kite string during this year's kite day festival, held Saturday at Legacy Park. Bolthouse's brother, His brother, Brogan, won the highest flying kite award, which is flying off in the distance to the right of Stephan's own kite in this photo.

Cool temperatures and cloudy, windy conditions didn't deter people in the Mountain Home community that gathered at Legacy Park on Saturday during this year's kite day festival.
