ITD to start road projects in Elmore County

Saturday, March 28, 2015

The Idaho Department of Transportation will start a series of road projects on Monday that includes roadways in Elmore County.

The $1.3 million pavement preservation project will extend from the interchanges east of Boise to Glenns Ferry.

Work on Monday involves mill-and-inlay paving on the on- and off-ramps at mileposts 112 and 114 in Hammett and 120 and 121 in Glenns Ferry. The roadway in these areas will drop to one lane with the speed limit dropping to 65 miles per hour.

In addition, trucks more than 12 feet in width are prohibited from using the ramps while construction is in progress. Work is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on designated days.

  • Are they going to fix Sunset Hwy any time soon? Or the city fix 18th by the ball fields?
