Josephine "Jo" Marie Oyarzabal, 79 of Mountain Home, passed away on March 20, 2015. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her spunky personality, sense of humor, and baking will be missed.

Jo was born on July 5, 1935, in Savannah, Ga. She moved to Mountain Home, where she met and married Joe Oyarzabal on April 4, 1964. Jo was a stay-at-home mother, whose life revolved around her husband and children, and later her grandchildren.

She was active in her children and grandchildren's schooling and activities, becoming known to many as Grandma Jo. Jo was a very giving person who was always lending a hand to friends and neighbors.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Will Hannah; husband, Joe; and son, Joseph. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Waybright (Don) of Houston, Texas; son, William Oyarzabal (Jolene) of Mountain Home; daughter, Tina Griffin (Bryan) of Mountain Home; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, who all love her dearly.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 5:45 p.m., and a Rosary will start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, and burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Lung Association, 1412 West Idaho #100, Boise, ID 83702, or the Ronald McDonald House, 101 Warm Springs Ave., Boise, ID 83712.
