    Mike,

I agree with you about jail time or better yet make them clean up what they dumped and more dump site. And FYI the county dump now charges $10 which is why I think there might be more illegal dumping.

  • My husband was out at Eureka caves a couple of weeks ago and said there was a fridge and some other trash out there. It's the same amount of work to load and unload it, whether you're at the landfill or out in the country. Ruin the country side over $10.00.... If caught, they should have to live at the dump for a month.

I get real sick of the dumiping also. Every time I take out the rifles, I take a load out of other peoples trash and take it to the dump myself. I remember when I first moved here, a couple of the common shooting areas were shut down because of the dumping and I don't know why they got opened up, but I'm sure it had something to do with folks like me picking up others garbage. Absolute B.S. I don't get riled up too often, but this is one matter that's got to stop. We have some of the greatest public land access in the entire country, and folks are ruining it. Okay...off my soap box.

  • There's another side in to the dumping story. There's plenty of illegal dumping going on in town as well. I've seen old TV's, couches, mattresses left on the curb all over town. The local thrift stores have a similar complaint about items being left outside their back doors after hours. Items that cannot be used and therefore they have to pay the fee to dump. It's time to establish proper enforcement to "curb" this activity for good.
