Snowmobilers compete in local drag race event

Competitors take off during the local drag race, held at the Elk Valley Resort in Featherville.

Approximately 250 snowmobile enthusiasts from across southern Idaho met in Featherville to test their racing skills during an inaugural event earlier this month.

The Idaho Snow Riders Snowmobile Club held the drag race at the Elk Valley Resort since similar venues are held far from this area, according to Nicola Miller, a drag race spokesperson.
