St. Luke's, state AG working to resolve dispute

A lawsuit filed by the state attorney general contends that the merger of rural hospitals by St. Luke's regional medical center, including the one in Mountain Home, violate state law.

As a legal dispute continues involving the acquisition of hospitals in Mountain Home and other communities by the St. Luke's regional medical center, hospital taxing districts are standing behind the mergers.

The Idaho Attorney General's Office and St. Luke's Health System are working to settle a lawsuit involving the health provider's acquisition of rural community hospitals formed with special taxing districts.
