Leah Feikert

Leah Beth-Ann Feikert, 21, of Boise, Idaho, passed away at 1:46 a.m. Sunday Dec. 7, 2014, in Denver, Colo., due to complications following surgery.

She was born July 18, 1993, in Lima, Ohio, to parents Terry Feikert and Kathleen Lehman Feikert.

Leah moved to Mountain Home, Idaho, with her parents in 1994. She attended the Mountain Home School District through her junior year. Leah then graduated through American Online High School in 2012.

Leah was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and chose to devote her life to a career of volunteering in a Bible-based teaching work. She whole-heartedly continued in that work until death.

Despite being visually impaired and having recent severe health issues, people remember Leah's positive outlook as she approached each day with a beautiful smile.

She will be greatly missed by the many people whom she touched throughout her life, too numerous to count, and most of all by her family.

Leah is remembered with love by, her father, Terry (Brenda) Feikert, of Mountain Home, and mother Kathleen (Jeffrey) Gandara, of Boise, Idaho, four siblings, Tiara Gandara, Desiree Feikert, Roman Gandara, and Amanda Gandara, grandparents Byron (Jacquline) Lehman, of Boise, Bruce Feikert, of Waynesfield, Ohio, Robert (Sandra) Lizyness Sr. ,of Petersburg, Mich., and Manuel (MaryAnn) Gandara of Boise, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandmother Sharon Feikert and cousin Abigail Madison.

Services will be held on Jan. 10, 2015, at 3 p.m. at The Hillcrest Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9855 West Amity Road, Boise, Idaho 83709.
