William "Bill" M. Haydon, Jr., 85, of Glenns Ferry, passed away on Dec. 11, 2014, at a Mountain Home care center.

No services will be held per Bill's request. A private family inurnment will take place at Glenn Rest Cemetery. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Bill was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Hammett, Idaho, to William and Mabel Haydon.

In 1946, Bill moved from Hammett to the J.H. Homly Ranch.

On Oct. 31, 1956, Bill married Betty M. Wheeler in Elko, Nev. Together they raised four children, Bobby, Rosaleen, Paula and Terry. In 1957, the family moved to Mountain home where Bill began working as an auto mechanic. They remained in Mountain Home until 1967, when they moved to Boise. There Bill went to work for Amco.

In 1971, the family returned to Mountain Home and Bill started working as a plumber.

In 1986, the family moved to the Glenns Ferry area where Bill worked on the Robert Hall Ranch, then worked on the 101 Ranch where he retired.

William is survived by his wife, Betty, of Glenns Ferry, his daughter, Paula, and son Bobby.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, one brother, one sister, son Terry and his daughter, Rosaleen.
