Stuffing the bus...

A school bus employee loads items donated at the Albertsons location last Saturday during this year's Stuff the Bus food drive.

With buses set up in front of three local area businesses during the day, people contributed an estimated 2,500 pounds of food.

The Caldwell Transportation Company will host its second Stuff the Bus food drive to benefit local area food banks on Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with buses parked at Paul's, Market, Albertsons and the Grace Lutheran Food Panty.

The drive seeks to fill all three buses with enough food to help families struggling to make ends meet as the holiday season approaches. For more information, call Carmen Metzer at 587-7624.
