City's new pathway is thing of beauty

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Dear editor:

I am sure I speak for everyone that utilizes the newly developed pathway (and the old) and how we greatly appreciate all the work the parks and recreation crew put in to make this project so beautiful.

The upkeep of the parks are beyond words. Whether these men are mowing, planting trees, etc., they never fail to greet me each day.

Speaking of trees, what a lovely touch to an already beautiful scene. Kudos to all your workers, and thank you so much.

Lorraine Kirkland

    Hi All:

I just took a walk on the new portion of the walking path. From the parking lot near the bank to the canyon bridge portion the path is excellent. We are very lucky to have this new feature in Mountain Home. So I echo what Lorraine Kirkland said...Kudos :-)

Nice path but roads are failing, storm systems flood yet we have a nice path to walk on that is easy to get to if you live on that side of town. Guess I live on the wrong side of the tracks to see any improvements.

It is a great use of taxpayer funds. If there were a way of eventually adding trails on the other side of the tracks, I would hope that we could afford to do that as well. We all need the exercise but I can sympathize with a depleted account. Thanks for the great job on the recent addition. It has added so much to our citizens' well-being and health.
