Kathleen Pack, 72, of Glenns Ferry passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on Nov. 3, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.

At Kathleen's request, an open house and celebration of life in her honor will be held the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Glenns Ferry Historic Opera House. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Kathleen was born Feb. 8, 1942 to Franklin K. and Marian Clark in Carson City, Nev. She attended school in Burley until her junior year when her parents moved to Jerome, where she completed high school. She attended Idaho State University and was a paralegal specializing in probate for many years in Lake Oswego, Ore., and later in Boise.

Kathleen was an exceptionally talented singer and began her public singing career at the age of 12. With an especially keen eye for art, she filled her home with antiques and paintings. She had a special love for her many pets, who were always part of the family.

Her involvement in the Glenns Ferry community gave her a great deal of happiness. She played a key role in getting funding for the street lights that line Commercial Street as well as the rustic benches found throughout the town.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Kathleen is survived by her father, Franklin K. Clark of Glenns Ferry, her husband Reed Pack of Glenns Ferry, two daughters Shannon Leigh (Cromwell) Welter of Birch Bay, Wash.; and Kimberly Cromwell of Meridian, Idaho. She is also survived by sister, Shannon Clark McBride of Hagerman; brothers Kelly Clark and Reilly Saul Clark, both of Boise; three granddaughters, Emma Welter, Jessica Welter and Sarah (Welter) Fowler; and two great grandchildren, Jonah James Fowler and Autumn Rose Fowler, all of the Birch Bay, Wash., area.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her mother, Marian.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society, 2676 South Vista Boise, ID 83705.
