Soccer all-stars recognized at yearly banquet

Mountain Home Tiger boys soccer coach Mike Torres handed out numerous awards at Thursday night's boys soccer awards banquet.

Earning Second Team All-Conference in the Southern Idaho Conference were Alex Dominguez as forward, Victor Sanchez as midfielder, Abrahan Salas as defender and Jorge Salinas as goalkeeper. Earning Honorable Mention All-Conference were David Arciniega as midfielder and Shawn Holland and Logan Curran as defenders.

Coach Torres announced that three Tiger players made Academic All-Conference for having a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Those awards went to Brandon Gomez, Jacob Lucas and Cody Ottoway.

In team awards voted upon by the players, Victor Sanchez earned Most Valuable Player, Juan Torres was named Forward of the Year, David Arciniega earned Midfielder of the Year and Shawn Holland was selected as Defender of the Year.
