Sunday, November 2, 2014

The Mountain Home Civil Air Patrol is returning to the Mountain Home area.

The new local CAP chapter will hold its first meeting on Friday, Nov. 7, beginning at 6 p.m. in Building 2807 at Mountain Home Air Force Base.

A previous CAP chapter in the area had gone inactive several years ago.

Prospective members and parents or guardians are invited to attend any of the Mountain Home Civil Air Patrol meetings.

Contact Chris Mitchell at 208-816-8436 or on here or by e-mail at c.pattang@yahoo.com for more information.

Mitchell is available to meet with potential CAP members anytime on or off base.

The CAP is all volunteer, civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Cadets are ages 12-18 and senior members are 18 or older.

It is dedicated to serving the area in the 'Mission for America" given to it by the United States Air Force. The missions include a growing, cadet-led Cadet Program, Aerospace Education opportunities, and being ready for any Emergency Services mission assigned to the squadron.
