Rimrock levy passes 379-248.

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

The one-year, $600,000 emergency levy for the Bruneau-Grand View School District was approved by the voters Tuesday night with 379 yes votes to 248 no votes.

Two previous efforts to pass the levy, earlier this year, had failed, but both of those efforts were for two years at $600,000 each year.

A simple majority was all that was needed to pass.

The district began the school year hoping this levy would pass, or it would be forced in mid-year to make some significant changes in operations. The current levy will essentially maintain the status quo.
