Donna M. Hitesman, 77, of Mountain Home, formerly of Glenns Ferry, passed away on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at her residence.

Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, with a viewing from 9 a.m. to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, both at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, 500 N. 18th East St., in Mountain Home. Burial will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry.

Donna was born in Great Falls, Mont., on June 23, 1937, to William and Millie Pellant.

She attended Loyola Catholic School in Missoula and Hamilton High School where she attended until the 11th grade.

She married the late Bill Hitesman in 1963 and they lived in various places in Montana and Idaho.

Donna and Bill were married 19 years and then divorced.

Donna remained in Glenns Ferry and then moved to Mountain Home.

Donna contracted polio at the age of seven, which left her disabled and affected her eyesight. She was declared legally blind later in life.

Her passion was her children and grandchildren. Donna was happiest when surrounded by her family.

Donna had three boys, Willie, Jerry and Joseph. Willie passed away at the age of 16 due to a car accident.

Donna is survived by: one sister, Dorothy Simmons, of Paradise, Mont.; one brother, William Pellant (Edna) of Hamilton, Mont.; two children, Jerry Hitesman (Sandee) of Centerton, Ark., and Joe Hitesman (Jami) of Evenston, Wyo., nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
