Linda Leihy

Thursday, August 7, 2014

Our mother, Linda Marie Leihy (Hooper, Lehrman, Gagnon) lost her battle with cancer on Aug. 4, 2014. She passed away peacefully at Temecula Valley Hospital, in Temecula, Calif., surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angus LeVere and Mary Virginia Hooper.

Linda was born May 6, 1948, in Boise, Idaho. She attended Borah High School before moving to Mountain Home and becoming the "UPS Lady" in town. In her later years, she managed several Circle K's throughout Boise.

Travel was treasured and she was able to make a "lifetime" trip to the British Isles, as well as numerous cruises with her children.

Linda lived for her grandkids, and there was nothing she wouldn't do to spoil them. The grandkids, in turn, worshipped their grandma.

Mom spent the last year of her life being spoiled by her daughter, Virginia, as well as her grandkids, Stephen and Taylor.

She loved the beach, the ocean and her family. There was no better place for her to be at the end.

She is survived by: her children, Ron (Dayna) Lehrman, Tim (Michelle) Lehrman, and Virginia Weeks (Jake Olson); her sisters, Candy (Jim) Turnbull, Pauline (Mike) Marten; her brother, Angus (Trish) Hooper, and by her grandchildren, Trey Lehrman, Stephen Torres Jr., Heather Lehrman, Megan Lehrman, Dakoda Lee, Taylor Silva, Hunter Lee and Braeden Lehrman.

There will be a celebration of life at Tim's house, 11441 W. Puritan Drive, Boise, ID, on Aug. 30 from 1-6 p.m. Please come celebrate an amazing woman with us.

Linda, you were a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and especially grandma.

You will be missed.
