Rescuer earns recognition from city

Mayor Tom Rist presented Michael Feldmeier with a certificate of appreciation during Monday's city council meeting as his wife, Autumn, and son Brandon looked on.

Michael Feldmeier, a Mountain Home man credited with rescuing a child from drowning in the Snake River earlier this month, was honored by Mayor Tom Rist, the city council and the fire chief on Monday.

With members of his family present at this week's city council meeting, Feldmeier received a certificate of appreciation from Mayor Rist on behalf of the city leadership, along with additional accolades from city fire chief Alan Bermensolo.
