Honey Helena Corey Blankenship-Ray, 48, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 12, 2014. She was in care in a Texas Hospital.

Honey was born on July 6, 1966, in California, to Alberta Wood and Everett Blankenship. In 1974, her family moved to Idaho, where she was raised and went to school.

In 1984, she married Adrian Barker and they had a child, Clayton. They were divorced in 1992. She then married John Malota and they were later divorced. She was then married to Charles Ray and later they divorced.

She moved to Mountain Home in 1989. She moved to Texas several times but always returned home.

Honey worked many jobs during her career. She worked in a nursing home, child care, and as a cook at the Desert Inn, among the jobs she held.

She loved to chalk ceramics and she loved to go camping in the great Idaho mountains and spending time and chatting with friends and family.

Honey is survived by her son, Clayton Barker, and brother LeRoy "Dusty" Backham Jr., both of Mountain Home, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

She was preceeded in death only 17 hours before by her mother, Alberta Backham. She was also preceeded in death by her father, Everett Blankenship, her stepfather, LeRoy Backham Sr., her brother, Burl Blankenship, grandparents and aunts and uncles.

There will be no services at this time. She is being cremated under the direction of Jim's Funeral Home in Bedford, Texas. Then she will be interned with her father, Everett, in Council, Idaho.
